Rescheduling & Cancellations
Once you’ve selected your ceremony package, we’ll let you know exactly where to meet us in your confirmation email.All you need to bring is your marriage license. We’ll bring everything else—including your Southern Gothic wedding officiant and, if your package includes photography, your professional photographer.
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and reflects your personal style. There is no dress code for your Southern Gothic Wedding.As your Southern Gothic Wedding officiant, I will be dressed in my signature Victorian Gothic style—think elegant, dark, and wonderfully Southern Gothic—as I officiate your ceremony.However, I completely understand that this style may not be what you envision for your wedding. If you would prefer that I dress in a more traditional or understated manner, simply let us know when you contact us. We are happy to make your ceremony feel exactly right for you.
Absolutely! We proudly perform ceremonies for same-sex couples. Love is love, and every couple deserves a ceremony as beautiful, meaningful, and uniquely theirs as their love story.
Yes! You are welcome to bring additional guests. Since this package is designed specifically for couples, there is an additional $25 fee per guest, payable at the time of booking. (Limited up to 8 guests)
Unless you choose to write your own lengthy vows, our ceremony typically lasts less than 10 minutes—just enough time to say your “I do’s” and make it official.After the ceremony, you’ll have the rest of your scheduled time to enjoy additional photographs with your photographer, if you’ve chosen a package that includes photography. You and your photographer can decide which additional photos you’d like to capture.
Yes. You must have a valid marriage license issued by a county in Georgia.If you are visiting our beautiful city from out of state, you will need to obtain your marriage license from the Chatham County Probate Court.For complete information about obtaining your marriage license, requirements, fees, and accepted identification, please visit the Chatham County Probate Court Marriage License page.Bring your marriage license with you to your Southern Gothic Wedding, and we'll take care of the rest.
Absolutely! If you have another Savannah location in mind, simply let us know through our Contact page, and we’ll be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.Want to take your Southern Gothic Ceremony beyond Savannah? We can travel to other locations as well. Additional travel fees will apply.
Absolutely! Bring your phone, your Bluetooth speaker, and your favorite song list, and set the mood for your Southern Gothic “I do’s.”Want to make your ceremony something truly unforgettable?We also have a Southern Gothic violinist available to perform at your ceremony. Violinist fees apply, and you can request this special addition through our Contact page. (based on availability)
Yes! We would be delighted to renew your vows with you in a special Southern Gothic way. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply want to say “I still do,” we’ll make your vow renewal a memorable and romantic occasion.Vow renewals are included in our “Non-Traditional” Package, which you can find on our Packages page.
Yes, you may celebrate with a drink after your ceremony, but please be mindful of the City of Savannah’s rules regarding alcohol in public spaces. Fines may apply if these regulations are not followed. Please note that absolutely no alcohol is permitted in any cemetery. For celebrations in public spaces:- Plastic or paper cups only.- No glass containers or cans.- 16-ounce maximum per container. We want your Southern Gothic celebration to be memorable for all the right reasons—so please help us keep Savannah beautiful and follow the city’s rules.
Absolutely! We love dogs! As long as your ceremony takes place in a public space where dogs are permitted, your beloved pooch is welcome to stand by your side and be your witness during your Southern Gothic Ceremony. There is an additional fee of $15 per dog
Our Southern Gothic Wedding packages are designed for ceremonies to be performed in public spaces, unless private arrangements have been discussed and agreed upon in advance. The exception is our Bonaventure After Hours Package, which is specifically designed to provide a more private and intimate Southern Gothic ceremony experience.
